Newscaster: Dr Melody Denson, one of our experts here at the studios joins me now to answer. So doctor, what causes incontinence?
Dr. Melody Denson: It can be different causes for different reasons; different people have continence for all kinds of reasons. It can be over active bladder, it can be weak sphincter, sometimes we dont always know, what really causes incontinence, we have to work that out. But, once its diagnosed what are some other treatments? Some other treatments might be simple as a pill you take once a day, we have got procedures such as such as a sling or a little cologne or a calcium injection that we can put it through little scope. We have got something as exciting as a pace maker battery its called an interstim, where we actually stimulate the nerves that got in bladder, which can settle the bladder down. We got all kinds of treatments that ranges gambit from simple to complex.

Dr. Melody Denson: You know why, we dont always know what the causes can be just an over active bladder or can be a weak swingtel but its different for everybody. You go over some other treatments of this problem. The treatment can range anywhere from taking a simple pill or putting a patch on twice a week to doing surgery, sometimes we have to actually repair the sphincter with a little sling or we can inject some cologne or calcium or sometimes we put in a pace maker battery for the bladder so there really is a wide varieties of treatments.
