Dr. Stephen Hardeman, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Urology and has been practicing with The Urology Team since 1991. He attended medical school at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His internship and his Residency were at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He completed his fellowship in urology at Johannes Gutenburg University, in Mainz, West Germany. He did a Postgraduate fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the University of Tennessee Memphis Medical centers where he accepted an appointment as Instructor as well as Assistant Professor. He is a member of various professional societies, including the American Medical Association, Society of University Urologists, South Central Section of the American Urological Association and the Travis County Medical Society. He has been published in over a dozen professional journals. He has affiliations with all major hospitals in Austin.
Areas of Special Interest: Dr. Hardeman enjoys caring for patient with prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers as well as patients with erectile dysfunction. He has extensive laparoscopic surgery experience, is on the transplant team and performs living donor nephrectomy, and vasectomies.
