The physicians at The Urology Team represent some of the finest specialists in Central Texas. It is our goal to provide our patients with not only the highest level of medical and surgical treatment, but also with the value of a close patient-physician relationship.  You will also benefit from the knowledge of our group as it is our practice philosophy to consult with each other to consistently provide the highest level of treatment for all patients. If you need surgery, our physicians will make sure you are placed into the hands of the surgeon who is best suited for your procedure. This group philosophy and team approach also means that if you have an urgent need we will find you the most available doctor to be sure you are taken care of.

The Urology Team has created Centers of Excellence to provide a higher level of care to each patient. This means, the doctor you see spends the majority, and in some cases all, of their time taking care of patients with a medical need similar to your own. While the Urology Team provides services for all Urologic needs, these Centers of Excellence have been created to provide a more focused approach to your care.

The Urology Team Centers of Excellence Include:

• The Prostate Center which focuses on conditions of the prostate and includes:
  • Dr Randy Fagin and daVinci robotic surgery for men with prostate cancer
  • Dr. Stephen Hardeman, Dr. Bryan Kansas, and Dr. Eric Giesler who focus on laser procedures to treat non-cancerous enlarged prostates
  • Dr. Richard Chopp and Dr. Elizabeth Rutledge provide Prostiva (microwave therapy) for in office treatment of non-cancerous enlarged prostates
• The Female Incontinence and Pelvic Health Center which focuses on Urologic services by women for women and includes:
  • Dr. Melody Denson, Dr. Elizabeth Houser, Dr. Elizabeth Rutledge and Dr. Ann Lavers
  • Incontinence services include Interstim, Tension Free Vaginal Tape, and repair of pelvic organ prolapse
  • Treatments for UTI, Interstitial Cystitis, and pelvic pain
• The Stone Center which focuses on minimally invasive treatments for kidney stone disease
  • Drs. Chopp, Denson, Geisler, Hardeman, Houser, Kansas, Rutledge and Wang provide Lithotripsy (shock wave treatments) and laser treatments to remove kidney stones
• The Kidney Center which focuses on the surgical treatment of kidney diseases and includes:
  • Dr. Eric Geisler and daVinci surgery for Kidney Cancer and UPJ obstruction
  • Dr. Hardeman and Dr. Kansas for laparoscopic kidney cancer surgery
  • Dr. Hardeman for laparoscopic kidney transplant surgery
• The General Urology Center which includes:
  • Penile implants and urinary sphincters provided by Dr Hardeman and Dr. Kansas
  • Vasectomy Reversals and Sperm Aspiration by Dr Elizabeth Houser
  • Vasectomies can be performed by all Urology Team doctors
• The Research Center which focuses on providing research services to Pharmaceutical Companies and Clinical Research Organizations at our 3 locations which includes:
  • Medical Research Director, Dr. Eric Giesler
  • Principal Investigators Dr. Eric Giesler, Dr. Elizabeth Houser, Dr. Melody Denson, and Dr. Richard Chopp
  • Experienced research coordinators and research staff
